This bag face has wonderfully soft muted colors. The motifs in the field are stylized palmettes and cloudbands. Originally from China, it is used extensively by city, village and tribal weavers through out Persia, Turkey and the Caucasus. The main border design is commonly found in Khamseh weavings.
