This small chanteh may have been used as a purse to keep personal items such as a mirror, jewelry and money. The boteh is a favorite Afshar motif. The pile is in typical Afshar colors which are deeply saturated. Most Afshar bag backs are undecorated in red weft-faced weave, but here there are three additional thin bands of color.
