My thanks to all of you for offering up such wonderful rugs, and for the great text to help educate us all. It is so refreshing to see people willing to share their knowledge and pieces with us.
By the way, your website as a whole and this exhibit in particular was extremely easy to navigate. A brilliant concept. Congratulations to all.

Thanks to all the NERS for assembling such a wonderful exhibit. As one who considers himself an educate novice in the rug world, the show taught me a lot. I appreciate how well organized NERS must be for a group of volunteers to assemble something like this. Thanks for the wonderful variety. A question: were the any of the last pieces modern?

Great work all! This was so well presented, technically and aesthetically and so informative that I am finally able to see how well the web can work for such things. (It was so easy to navigate!) Thanks to Jeff for his brilliant text and the tip on where to find this exhibition. You have really laid the groundwork for future online exhibits that work.

P.S. I still have the early Turkish prayer rug referred to in your text on plate 6. I will put it up on cloudband if anyone wants to see it.

Very Nicely Done. Exhibit Format and presentation could be applied to other collections. I am not a rug collector, but the form of the exhibition could be used for my interests of Jewelry and Gem stones.

Bravo! I am proud to be a member of the NERS. This sets a high standard, especially the intro. by Jeff Spurr, but the rest of the exhibition is wonderfully accessible and very beautiful.

Thank you Jeff. Thank you Mark and NERS.
This IS the benchmark. Online exhibitions won't get better, they will just address different subjects.

I am blown away by the quality of the Prayer Rug/Textile exhibit. I thought the presentation, photography, descriptions and the rugs themselves were all wonderful. This is a rare case of getting out of something a lot more than I expected. Congratulations to all.

Kudos to all those involved in setting up this wonderful exhibition. Jeff's text is brilliant, and the rugs are artistically presented. Very creative, and I really enjoyed this ambitious and original endeavor.

Look forward to the next one!

It is a privilege to have the opportunity to see the exhibits so nicely presented in e-form. Thanks to Jeff Spur for a thoughtful essay. I fully concur with his suggestion that we should not get too carried away in our emphasis on the aspect of prayer especially when it comes to village rugs. The great majority of pieces we see would have been woven for sale rather than personal use. Even in rug-weaving villages it can be observed that people use a cloth or a fleece for prayer in the home.

Good, job, Robert & Company!

I particularly appreciate the structural analysis and the close-ups of the backs. Such data are always of great value.

Many thanks,

Filiberto

Congratulations to Mark Hopkins and NERS members for an unprecedented spectacular cyber exhibit. It was a delight to observe and study the diverse collection. The eye opening assay by Jeff Spurr was immensely educational. Each specimen on display is laudable candidate for a deliberation. I look forward to see the comments of other experts in the field.
